Health Care Disparities Project Seeks Stories

The CT Multicultural Health Partnership Communications and Media Committee is developing communication tools to build awareness and prompt action on health disparities. Your help is needed in developing a health disparities project, The Faces of Health Disparities. Putting a face to a problem or health issue often helps the public, policy makers, and others understand it. Aligned with a real person, it comes to life.

Thus, we are developing the Faces of Health Disparities exhibit, video, and commercials/public-service-announcements. For these products to represent diverse populations in terms of race, ethnicity, gender, age, geography, etc, we need to search throughout the state for individuals who have experienced health disparities and are willing to tell their story. We know the true experiences of CT residents are more compelling than any we could create. Plus, true stories authenticate the message.

Please share this message with your colleagues, friends and neighbors as well. We want to do identify a rich mix of stories to get the attention this subject needs and deserves.
