Stop Israeli War On Gaza

Stop Israeli Crimes in Gaza

In the first 24 hours of the murderous Israeli assault against Gaza, more than 280 Palestinians were killed and at least 664 were wounded. Most of the people killed and wounded have been civilians. This has been the bloodiest operation against the Gaza Strip and the Palestinian people since the six day war in 1967.

As the air assault continues, the Associated Press reports that "Israel's Cabinet authorized the military to call up 6,500 reserve soldiers for a possible ground invasion and moved tanks, infantry and armored units to the Gaza border."

● These Israeli attacks come on top of a brutal 18 months siege of the Gaza Strip, which has created a humanitarian catastrophe of dire proportions for its 1.5 million Palestinian residents by Israel's restrictions on access to food, fuel, medicine, electricity, and other necessities of life.

● Israel has carried out these attacks with F16 fighter jets and missiles provided by the taxpayers of this country. From 2001-2006, the United States transferred to Israel more than $200 million worth of spare parts to fly its fleet of F16's. Last year, the United States signed a $1.3 billion contract with Raytheon to transfer to Israel thousands of TOW, Hellfire, and "bunker buster" missiles. Israel is committing massive crimes against the people of Gaza using these American manufactured and supplied weapons and it is in clear violation of the Arms Export Control Act.

● The United States is complicit in Israeli violations of U.S. and international law through its continual provision of military aid. The U.S. is also complicit through its protection of Israel in the United Nations, which prevents Israel from being held accountable by the international community.

It is OUR duty as taxpayers, and citizens of this country to put an end to the blood shed in Gaza and Stop Israel’s assault on the Palestinian people.
