From Tonia Loconte:
I am now working as the volunteer coordinator for Jacqui Denski, who is campaigning to unseat Bill Hamzy, a long-term conservative Republican senator from Plymouth/Bristol's 78th District with a terrible voting record on LGBT rights and women's issues. This includes votes against same-sex marriage, extension of anti-discrimination laws to gender-nonconforming people, emergency contraception for rape victims, in-state college tuition for undocumented immigrants who have lived in the U.S. most of their lives, and a minimum wage increase.
Check out his recent voting record for yourself. http://www.votesmart.org/voting_category.php?can_id=7198

If you have the time and inclination, I'd love it if you could come down to Democratic headquarters in Bristol and help support Jacqui Demski. She is very supportive of LGBTI issues and women's issues, and we have reason to believe she can win this election (the Obama effect will help). There are a number of ways you can help, including envelope-stuffing, making calls, writing postcards, and volunteering on election day.

Thanks to those of you who have already agreed to help, and thanks to all of you for your continuing investment in our shared struggle to end oppression, one step at a time.
